Vonflora® is my trademark art brand, dedicated to creating original Superflowers made from real, hand‑crafted flowers. It blends floral sculpture, photography, and painting into a single artistic process.

The name itself is a fusion of my name and the world of flowers, which together translates to “My Flowers.”

Superflowers are original floral creations, formed by hand from the finest elements of real flowers and brought together into new compositions. Each one exists as a singular work, then captured through photography and explored through painting.

Each Superflower stands as a singular work of art. Like any painting that receives a title to mark its identity, each Superflower is named to distinguish its character and presence.

I discovered my interest in flowers while photographing a velvet ant up close. The insect was the subject, but the surrounding flower captured my attention.

It was the complexity of their shapes and the richness of their colors that captivated me, that was the beginning of everything that followed.

Yes. Every Superflower begins with real flowers, carefully selected and assembled by hand before being photographed or painted.

The flowers are sourced from a variety of places, including select online shops, local markets, and garden centers in Atlanta such as Lowe’s, Home Depot, Pike Nurseries, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Each one is chosen for its form, color, and potential within a composition. Going out to find the right flower, selecting it, and bringing it into the studio became a fun and exciting part of the process.

I describe my style as Vonflora Expressionism. A distinct style that merges abstract art, fauvism, expressionism, pop art, botanical realism and surrealism to present Superflowers as striking, color-rich icons.

After discovering flowers I began photographing them as they were. But I soon realized the images felt similar to what many others have done before. As an artist, I wanted to push further and make something uniquely my own.

Not at all. Superflowers are made from real flowers and crafted entirely by hand, then photographed as work of art.

It took me seven years to create over 1,000 Superflowers, each made and photographed at its own pace.

I could only work on a limited number at a time, and I also depended on the seasons, as certain flowers were only available at specific times of the year, naturally extending the timeline and allowing the series to evolve organically.

Superflowers are available as photographic prints, paintings, and in book form.
